PLUS:
Management Structure
|
|
User Involvement and
Project Management
The PLUS consortium comprises of nine
research institutes, 18 city authorities, and two international
urban networks.
PLUS contains strong elements of user
involvement during the life of the project. While the academic
partners carry out the research and sit on the Steering Committee,
the City partners are involved in three ways:
1. As case studies. Each of the
cities has a reputation for progressive urban management from which
we can learn.
|
|
2. As contributors during our
conferences. We have planned two practitioner oriented events, in
Heidelberg, Germany, in October 2002, and in Bristol, UK, in March
2004. It is at these events that the results from the research will
be first presented. First PLUS International Conference, Heidelberg, Oct 2002.

3. As members of the Advisory Board.
To ensure that the research is focused on and useful to current
policy-makers, each case study city has a representative on the
project Advisory Board.
For case study cities, the benefits
come from interaction with many other innovative cities from Europe
and beyond. Case study cities have access to the latest scholarly
thinking, and will be able to learn from their counterparts in other
countries. They will also be able to present evidence about their
achievements to the wider world.
